Ball screws
A ball screw turns rotation into precise linear motion. Balls circulate between the screw shaft and the nut, which gives high accuracy and repeatability with very little friction. We supply rolled and ground ball screws from CSK and SHAC, and the bearing units to mount them.
High-quality ball screws from CSK
A new generation of precision ball screws for demanding industrial and automation work. They improve positioning, lower friction and extend the life of the linear system.
Both rolled and ground screws are made to strict quality standards, from premium materials and with thorough inspection, so they give stable performance over a long life.
Rolled ball screws
A strong balance of performance and price. Made with advanced rolling technology for reliable accuracy, quiet running and high load capacity. A good fit for general machinery, CNC equipment and automated lines.
- Cost-effective for a wide range of applications
- Consistent lead accuracy and smooth motion
- Optimised for medium to high speeds
Ground ball screws
For the highest precision. Grinding gives minimal backlash, an excellent surface finish and very accurate positioning for high-end CNC machines, robotics and measuring equipment.
- Very high positioning accuracy and repeatability
- Very low backlash and less vibration
- Ideal for precision machining, inspection and metrology
CSK end bearing units
Bearing units for the ends of the ball screw, made by NSB. More versions are available on nsb.com.tw.

Ball bearing unit, square flange
Square flange with four mounting holes and one bearing insert. Electroless nickel surface.

Bearing with housing
T-BGHKB, black oxide: for dry indoor use with low corrosion, cost-effective and low-glare.
T-BGHKN, electroless nickel: for humid, oily or mildly corrosive environments.

Ball bearing unit, non-retained
Ball bearing unit without bearing retainer. See the data sheet for sizes and dimensions.
Data sheetWhy electroless nickel? It is a high-performance industrial coating with outstanding corrosion resistance, high surface hardness and an even thickness, even on complex shapes. It resists oils, coolants and cleaning agents and extends service life in demanding conditions.
SHAC ball screws
SHAC ball screws consist of a screw shaft and a ball nut with balls circulating in matching helical grooves. The nut transmits force to fixed or moving loads with high accuracy and repeatability.
SHAC makes both rolled and ground ball screws, so there is a suitable option for almost any application. Products are stocked and machined in Switzerland for the European market.
SHAC support units
The support unit connects the ball screw to the motor side and holds the screw in the right position. Each unit consists of a housing, bearing, cover, seal, lock nut and set screws, and is used at either the fixed or the supported end.
The bearings come pre-greased and adjusted, so the unit can be mounted straight away without further adjustment. That saves assembly time and improves accuracy and stability. The units are compact and fit in narrow spaces.
| Type | Use |
|---|---|
| EK / EF | Standard support units for general automation and industrial machinery. Small and easy to assemble. |
| BK / BF | Standard support units for general ball screws. |
All SHAC support units have high rigidity and precision and are used in automation, machine tools, inspection and medical equipment.
